Building a Legacy One Brick at a Time
Our Gordon-Wascott Historical Society is pleased to launch Phase II of our fundraising campaign our Amick Historical Park at the site where Antoine Gordon established his trading post (named Amick) in 1858 near an Ojibwe Indian Village.
Thanks to your generous donations and grants totaling $21,090 to date, we have already completed site clearing, a landscape plan, installed a park sign and Wisconsin Historical Society marker.
We are now seeking additional donations totaling $124,400 to help cover the costs of a patio, picnic shelters, memorial benches, interpretive historical markers, a traditional wigwam, and a wall of engraved bricks.
Your support is needed and will be greatly appreciated. We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization so your donations are tax-deductible. There are many donor levels available including buying an inscribed “Brick for Amick!”
Thanks so much for your continuing support to help fulfill our mission of preserving our local history and honoring our ancestors.
