Help Preserve Livermore's Learning Legacy
Livermore Heritage Guild and That's My Brick!® have joined forces to raise money for our project! The Livermore Heritage Guild (LHG) is poised to relocate a historical building into Livermore and restore it as a community resource. LHG will move the last remaining Livermore Valley one room schoolhouse, Midway School, now located in the Altamont Hills, to Hagemann Park next to the 150-year-old Historic Hagemann Ranch.
This creates a destination for both immersive elementary school field trips and a public museum. The ranch and school are almost exactly the same age, making joint events historically consistent. Funds from the brick campaign will be used to fund architectural drawings, moving the building, reconstruction, a new front porch and all furnishings such as a potbelly stove, textbooks and student desks.
