Brandon Assembly #23 of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in Florida, in conjunction with Mango Elementary School, is raising funds to build and maintain an art-themed, Florida native species garden at Mango Elementary School (located at 4220 Hwy 579, Valrico, FL 33584) for the students to use as a calming, inspiring, and educational space in their daily school experiences. Mango Elementary Students will be able to leave their own marks on the garden by painting personalized river rocks furnished by the Brandon Rainbow Girls. Funds raised from the sales of bricks will be used to purchase the initial building, landscaping, and botanical supplies along with at least 1000 river rocks. Funds in excess of those required for start-up costs will be used to maintain the garden and purchase new plants and additional river rocks as needed.
