Help create a memorial for those who made the ultimate sacrifice
In 2018 the community of Barnstead pulled together and built a new Barnstead Police Department located at 24 Shackford Corner Road in Center Barnstead. To show our appreciation to our citizens, many who are veterans, we have started a flag pole project. As a result, the police department recently received a generous donation of 3 flag poles near the main entrance to help turn our vision into a reality. As part of this flag pole project, we are creating a Law Enforcement and Military memorial area at the base of the flag poles for the public to visit and enjoy which will be outlined with brick pavers. To help raise funds to finish this flag pole and memorial area, we are doing a brick fundraiser. This will also give people and local businesses an opportunity to donate a brick with their special message or logo on it that will be used to create the walkway and viewing area beneath the flag poles and around the memorial. At this time, several local contractors have come forward to help donate their time and services to make this all possible.
