Friends of Jackson County Conservation is raising funds to help the Jackson County Conservation Board build a solar array at the Hurstville Interpretive Center. The solar array will be located in the east side of the building in the prairie. The solar array will help the Center conserve natural resources, reduce carbon emissions, and earn a healthy return in investment to fund future conservation programming. Using solar energy to power the Center will also be an opportunity to educate visitors regarding renewable energy and the impact of solar energy on natural resources.
