South Vermillion High School Veterans Memorial Project
"Mattone su Mattone: Brick by Brick"
My name is Peyton Wood and I am a Boy Scout currently working on my Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project. For my project, I have chosen to beautify the area around the current flagpoles featuring the flags of the United States of America, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and POW/MIA. This is near the north endzone of the South Vermillion High School football field. As part of this beautification, we will construct a Veterans Memorial Wall made from bricks engraved with the names of current and past servicemen and women, as well as a large rock bed inside of a concrete “curb” around the current seven flagpoles. You can help fund this project by purchasing a brick in the honor of loved one or even for yourself!
